  1. Female Marine's can be in any MOS other than "combat" MOS's (infantry, artillery, etc). At the end of your 11th grade year you can go talk to a recruiter. You'll have to take the ASVAB to find out what you're qualified for.

  2. Females can do anything in the Marine Corps except the 03xx MOS which is ranges from ground infantry to MARSOC Recon.  Other than that, you're good.  You could always be a corpsman (medic) for the marines, but that would require you to be an 8404 Navy Corpsman.

  3. They can get the men coffee

  4. You can do everything except infantry and tanks and artillery..

You can do things such as..

    military police

    mechanic

    radio operator

    technician

    administative work

    cook

    supply

    heavy equipment operator

there are many more but i forget them..

  5. Anything but a combative job.

  6. She can trouble shoot communications, be a linguist, repair a motor, she can drive a truck, work supply, she can do hundreds and hundreds of jobs.

  7. Bagnasty

  8. You would be pleasantly surprised what the women can do in the military in general.

I was a recruiter myself so I can appreciate your concerns with the follow up calls. A recruiter is not going to deny you information because you do not offer contact information until you are sure of the direction you wish to take. One good thing for you is that you are not considered an "eligible" source for recruiting until you are a senior...except for the Army.

You absolutely MUST talk to the recruiters to get current, accurate information. For example, do you have any idea how completely off the chain the extended education  (college) benefits in the military are?

Talk to recruiters, talk to ALL the recruiters.

    Hope this helps.
