  1. i used to be quite skilled at that, but really only in english class. you have to listen for their triggers--if you know they're interested in something, go online and find something controversial about it. then ask in the form of a question.


  2. Most teachers are on to those questions and will often give the impression that they are answering, but actually it suits them to answer because somehow it ties in with what they have planned.

    Don't wast your time!

    Science: Try talking about the subject you are learning.  Ask many questions.  

    English: What are great books to read?  Help on the homework.  Have them review something.

    Math: Anything, math teachers are really distracted sometimes.

    Social Studies: Any current events.
