Ok,So I've not been on an airplane since 1999.I am going on a trip in September. It will be about a 7 hour flight.I have heard different stories about what you can and can not bring on a plane.I will be flying US Airways and Canada Air.I want to try and cram my stuff into a small carry on bag but I heard you can't carry shampoo and stuff. So my questions are,If I just bring a carry on bag, what can I pack in there, and if I bring a checked in bag, what can I pack?..I hate hate hate flying,it frightens me but it's an important trip so I must fly.Can you give me tips for packing, what I can and can't pack and any other pointers? Thanks Everyone :)))

  1. I'm going flying for the first time in a long time too soon, so I kind of need to know this too.

I think you are fine bringing whatever you want (well, except for the obvious knives and guns and stuff - no weapons!) in your full-size luggage. But you have size limitations on the little containers of shampoo or toothpaste or whatever you bring in a carry-on.

    Good luck flying!

  2. you can bring most of your stuff on the plane, but if its liquid it has to be 3 oz or less and all the liquids have to be in a quart sized seethrough bag...

They even let me bring my safety razor in the carry on bag, as long as it was in a quart sized bag as well

You can have liquids more than 3 oz but they have to be in your check bag, so they can look through it...

    Hope that helped!!

This gives you all the up to date info on what is and is not acceptable to bring on a plane.

    Have fun traveling !!

  4. Here are two links of what you can bring and how to pack it!

The first is from air canada and the second us airways. Check them out and you'll get the answers ;-)
