  2. look at this site. Jim thrasher [my dad's friend] sells real estate there and he has pictures of Costa Rican condos.

    and in costa rica you can invest and make a lot of money.

  3. Well I'm a costa rican, if you mean typical as in the most common type of house, there are three main categories...depending on the income and social status...

    In Costa Rica there are mainly three

    -low class

    -midlow class

    -midhigh class

    Almost anywhere in the main metropolitan area (San Jose, Cartago, Alajuela, Heredia), houses are built one next to each other, made of concrete blocks (most of them, old ones are made from wood), zinc roof, uhm....and there are tons of possibilities from there....of course there are also condo's, some apparment buildings(is not common).

    If you mean typical as in traditional, then houses are made of adobe(a kind of mud) and reddish ceramic tile roofs held by wooden beams and columns
