The question i am trying to ask is about-- where will you be working and earning money.

What career can you pursue during the waiting time to retake your NCLEX exam?

Will you be working as a Certified Nursing Assistant?

You should study harder if you want to pass the NCLEX exam- i do know that. I just want to know about what career you will be able to do, what career can you do at the time while you wait to retake the NCLEX exam?

  1. Are you a CNA now, if you aren't a CNA then you won't be able to work as one.  Alot to people work as a CNA while in nursing school, then get hired as CNA at the jobs they will work as a RN at.

There really is no career to pursue if you wanting to take the NCLEX.  Because that means you want to be a RN so why pursue another career?  If you had a job before, then keep that job until.

  2. I agree with the answer above me. You work as a Certified nursing assistant while you're waiting to retake the NCLEX exam

  3. It depends on the hospital you work at and the state you work in. In NY, you can apply for a "temporary license" that allows you to practice as an RN until you pass the NCLEX. I think the license is good for three months. The hospital and the state both need to allow this for you to be able to do it.

Personally, I worked as a Nurse Tech (basically a CNA) until I passed my boards, but it was only for a few weeks and I was in orientation that whole time.
