  1. open it up as much as you can and use a blow dryer.

let it sit out for maybe 2 days if it doesn't work.

    if it doens't , you're screwed.

  2. whatever you do don't turn it on.  take out the batteries and memory card and leave the camera on a counter on a washcloth or something for a few days.  hopefully all the water will evaporate or leak out by then and you can try turning it on.

  3. buy a new one.

  4. My sister dried one off and put it in a ziplock bag over night with a peice of bread. did the trick for her

  5. Recycle it, and buy a new one.

    Time to say good bye!

  6. Take the batteries and memory card out immediately, look into your warranty, and use a blow--dryer, than let it dry out for a week (7 whole days just to be safe).

    Try it again.

edit: DO NOT turn it on until the week is up

  7. Call the manufacturer to see if it can be fixed/replaced.

  8. It will probably be all right, especially if it was fresh water, and especially if it didn't stay in too long.

Put it in a dry place - in front of your dehumidifier if you have one, or just a cool, breezy area, otherwise.

If you can turn it on to open and extend the lens, that will help.
