What can you do if you have shingles?

my mom has shingles on her side, what can you do for the pain?

Just Advil unfortunately.  It will pass in a couple of weeks though, we all get it eventually.

i've heard people have actually put preparation H on it..may be embarrassing to buy...buut i've heard it really works!

See a doctor, if it is really severe she might need some stronger medications or maybe just Advil. I had a relative who had a very bad case and my heart goes out to anybody with shingles.
