What can you do in York on a sunday ?

Will be visiting York next sunday. Does anyone know when the shops open or is there anything worthwhile to visit??

Pretty much everything is open as usual.

I enjoyed the ghost tour and National Railway Museum and it's definitely the sort of place where it's nice to just stroll round and explore. Newgate market is open till 4.30 on Sunday and there are lots of craft / antiques / food / specialty shops to browse around.

Stores are probably Noon to 5.  I would wander through the streets, check out the wall.  Go inside York Minster.  It is a beautiful, interesting city.
