What can you do in the YMCA?

Can you play VolleyBall? With out having to pay? My friends and I want to play somewhere with people

  1. All YMCA charge a fee unless you are part of a family membership.

    You can try to find a local community gym for pick-up games (google pickup volleyball, or try the following link: http://www.volleyball.org/usa), if you are older than 16. Most of them should be free or with a moderate fee. Teen-center could work for younger players, and some local church gyms might be open to "all ages". Just go to one open gym, and ask around for more information.


  2. Many of the YMCA's have a volleyball program of some sorts.  Some used to charge just a daily fee to play volleyball.  Some made you become members.  A monthly membership is really very reasonable if the volleyball is any good.  Some YMCA's do not have any volleyball.  Or any good volleyball.  It would not even be worth the $3 or $5 daily fee.  Call your local Y to check.  Sorry I can not give you a more definitive answer.  Each Y is run differently and independently.
