Good question, I ask myself that all the time : ).

I have played softball for 15 years.

The best thing to suggest is to have fun. Honestly. Practice when you need to practice, there is no harm in trying to improve certain areas, but when it comes to game situation, just do what you have learned and have fun. Nothing will ever go right if your to tense on the field. loosen up, take a breather, and have fun. The game will come as a breeze!!

Just go out and kick some butt!!

This question is position specific, but everything starts with hitting.  Find a way to take as many swings as possible, be it soft toss, batting cages, hit-away, or whatever.  Strong hitters will always have a place on a team.  After that, find the position that works best for you.  Work on your fielding skills, throwing mechanics, footwork, etc.  Keep working hard at it and you will improve, but never stop trying to learn new skills, and always try to be better than you were the day before.

Get a friend and go in the yard with them and field ball after ball after ball.Fly balls, ground balls,over,and over,and over.

Do this for an hour a day and your skills will improve within a few days.As far as batting,practice swinging the bat with an invisible ball.Step into it and swing about 50 times.Follow through with your swing.Don't start and not turn you shoulders.Then practice with a thrown ball or throw one in the air yourself and hit it,great hand eye coordination.Go to a batting cage if one is available.This all will boost your confidence to becomes a better player.Good luck.

Way too vague of a question. I guess just practice if you want to improve everything. Work with a coach to help as well. If you want better responses, you have to be more specific on what you want to improve

first of all decide what game you want to play cause if you talkin fast pitch there is nothing soft about it. and if it was easy we would call it baseball
