  1. Support!! When you are not supporting you voice, the air does not flow up with enough intensity and you will crack and/or sound wobbly (a tremulo instead of the desired vibrato).

The diaphragm is an involuntary muscle.  When you take a full breath, the diaphragm pushes down below your rib cage and flattens.  If you pull in your lower abdominal muscles to push out the air, it will come out with more intensity and be more compressed.

It's really hard to explain without showing you.  A few lessons with someone who teaches breathing and support could be very helpful for you.

If you are in the NY/NJ area let me know and I can recommend someone :)

If not, try out a couple teachers and look for someone who teaches breathing and support, and someone who can teach you how to warm up your own voice (and who caters to the kind of music you sing).

    Good Luck!

  2. drink a lot of water.

avoid drinking any type of soda and alcohol.

also.....if you roll your neck....dont roll it all the way to the back.

simply only from side to side.
