  1. You shouldn't be racist. its not their fault they were born funny colors.

  2. you can only deal with yourself, not others. there is only one race, we are all descended from adam and eve. there is no room for racism.

  3. I am sorry to say that there is no way to stop racism. I am sure that It started before we climbed down from the trees and stood upright. It will be with us until the end of mankind.

  4. I know this may sound like I'm "splitting-hairs" here, but, considering what a popular word "racism" has become since the 1960's when I was involved in all the civil rights stuff, would you please define "racism" as you use it, in your words, as specifically as you can?   So many people throw around these popular or "red flag" words with only minimal definition to their usage of the term that I'd like to hear, more specifically, what you're meaning, exactly.  God Bless you.

I'm not sure what your educational level, education or experiential level is in "civil rights", but from your answer I'd suggest, for your own satisfaction on the issue of "racism", that  you learn more, from your own private studying and from experience, and just living longer.  I think your question and your definition are products of "liberal arts" thinking, and need a strong dose of reality which only independent studying and some actual experience in the field will give you.  I'd love to see or hear your answer(s) in decades to come.   You won't believe how much your thinking will change.  God Bless you.

  5. not be racist yourself

  6. When someone makes a racist remark, either tell them it offends you, or if the person is stereotyping, tell them what they said hasn’t been your experience. Don’t get angry—it will put someone off. Just tell them from your heart. People are more likely to consider what you say when you’re calm but passionate about what you’re saying.

  7. Other than not taking part in it yourself, nothing.

  8. I don't agree that you should do nothing but not be racist yourself. It was Martin Luther King Junior who said that racism is reinforced by those who accept it. I personally do not allow racism in MY life. Thus, I do not accept racist comments from my friends, family, or anyone for that matter. I don't laugh at racist humor or sit back and think that if I myself don't take part in it, than I am not to blame. I would say that the millions of people who accepted Nazism yet didn't directly take part in it were as guilty as those who joined forces with Hitler. The same goes for sexism. Don't accept it anywhere near you and question the ideas that continue to make racism/sexism/whateverism a prevalent part of our lives.

  9. not paying attention to it.

  10. Nothing..it's like trying to stop sexism, ageism or any other prejudice.

Racism is not a 2-way street either...it is a superhighway and EVERYONE is capable of it.
