What can you do with a Physiology Major?

First of all, what do you exactly study in Physiology classes at unviersity? and what kind of job can you end up with if you major in it?

  1. With physiology you're looking at pathology (human disease) (ie) how they got it and how treat it.  You're not really interested in what happens in the middle thats biochem, micro, genetics.

    Doing Physiology degree by itself doesnt really give you any type of job, but the good thing about it is if you major in it is a lot more adaptable than majors such as genetics, biochem or immunology which arent adaptable at all really.  Lots of students use Physiology and try to get into medicine.

    Of course if you want to be a researcher then you can do honours in Physiology and a PhD if you're dedicated.  If you do this you will end up working on a certain pathology that your lab leader has dedicated his or hers life to in a small group of 5-6 people.  Personally its not fo rme.  :)
