  2. I was about to say "Teach Sociology"  (I minored in Sociology) but according to this book depending on what level your degree is you actually have a number of career options.  You can read the chapters online or order the book for $6.

    1. International Relations

    2. Health Care

    3. Business Consultation

    4. Federal Government

    5. Urban Social Work

    6. Military

    7. State Government

    8. Criminal Justice

    9. Seminar and Workshop Consultations

    10. Education - Administration

    11. State Agencies

    12. Consulting - Education

    13. City Management

    14. Evaluation Research

    15. Law

    16. Child Welfare

    17. Gerontology

    18. Business

    Best wishes!

  3. in my day....hang around dark coffee bars and chainsmoke...and occasionally pass some deep  remark like..."yeahhh man."

    oh! the nostalgia!

  4. Public Sector Administrator

    Personnel Manager

    Community Worker

    Probation Officer

    Arts Administrator

    Youth and Community Work

    Public Relations

    Advertising and marketing

    Arts Administration

    Events Management

    Housing

    Market Research

    Human Resource Manager

There is a lot more you can do with it.

  5. Not much.

  6. Also, really good for politics. Close relative did sociology at a little university and then went to do a sociology/economics masters at oxford and is now a very good, high-up British politician.

  7. I agree with the lists above, but my recommendation would be to use it to get into grad school.  A Master's in Sociology will open doors to teaching at a college level, working for research and polling firms, and some real credibility.  A BA or BS in Sociology will get you in the door to any place that will hire "any degree will do" jobs.  Who wants those?  Best of luck to you.
