I'm just curious, I'm getting tired of teaching, and I really want to expand my horizons.

  1. Earn a Master's Degree in a field that interests you.  There are a number of online degree programs -- MBA (Business), MLIS (Library Science), etc. -- so that you can take classes while teaching and earning a living/paying bills.

With a Liberal Arts degree and a master's degree, you can be a lawyer, librarian, artist, writer, business entrepreneur, accountant, chef, etc.

Think about professions that interest you.  Then, talk to people already working in these jobs to find out how what the jobs actually entail.

Also, check out www.petersons.com to find advanced degree programs that fit your unique needs.

    Good Luck!

  2. Graduate school? Or write?

  3. You can probably get any number of entry level positions at different companies. Would you consider working for a textbook company or maybe an ed. based NGO? Are you just burned out on teaching? You could get an admin. cred. or a counseling degree. You could also go teach in a foreign country for a year (could be like a long vacation). Lots of options. Keep your head up. It can be a frustrating job. Lib. Arts degrees are pretty versatile.

  4. my general manager has one, just having a four year degree opens alot of doors, and then use the good gramar and wealth of knowlegde from so much reading to open some more
