  1. Years ago, when the social security number was covered and 'protected' under privacy laws, persons would go to jail if they abused that number.

Currently, it can be used to compile falsified credit reporting that can interfere with your ability to find housing, and pursue your life goals.

The SS# has become a barrier to freedoms that were once available to citizens--since the Law is no longer upheld by the FTC and access to the courts is denied.

The current government passively permits illegal activity that violates citizens rights to be free from falsified information. It is a nonexistant justice system refered back to a State that refuses to uphold tha law.

  2. I don't have enough room in this box to explain all the bad things that could happen to you. I would go to the social security office tell them the deal and ma by you can get a new number. I wouldn't wait!

  3. He can own you, he can destroy you, he can do any thing he likes.  Your social security number should be your hardest held secret in the world.

  4. he could apply for a credit card

If you get any strange items on your credit report I would turn him in.

  5. He could steal your identity and get a credit card in your name. Keep a close eye on your credit for a while. If you notice anything strange, report him to the police.

Chances are you're fine. hopefully he realizes that identity theft is a serious crime and that law enforecment agencies are cracking down.
