  1. I haven't tried feeding fruit, but I have tried the juice and it works, so does getting a little Karo syrup in water. I know the syrup is sweet so you wouldn't think it would work. I gave some to my son, about 4 ounces a day and it took a couple of days to start working, but it worked great. He started having regular bowel movements again and it did not make him sick one bit. He is 3 months old. Goodluck

  2. I know they say its not recommended but when I was a new mom and my baby had the same problem, same age, a mom told me to put a little apple juice and water in their bottle (not alot, like 1/4 cup of each).worked like a charm.

  3. My son had this around the same age. Our doctor suggested one ounce of pear juice a day added to his bottle. It works wonders!

  4. if you change from breast milk to regular or if their lactose intolerant

  5. I have a 4 month old too. My Doc says its okay to give up to 1 oz daily of pear, apple, or grape juice. But only once per 24 hours. It does help. Also, sticking a thermometer in the butt can help with bm and gas pains. Just make sure it's not a lead or mercury containing thermometer and that it's small enough to stick in and won't cause any pain. A little dab of vaseline should help it go in more smoothly. I also feed small amounts of stage 1 jar food (like applesauce, peaches, any pureed, single-ingredient food like that.) Also helps.

  6. Pear juice diluted with water.

  7. Ask your pediatritian.  They will probably recommend a child's enima... but ASK FIRST!  Babies systems are much different than an adult's or even a child's.

  8. 1oz prune juice 4oz water

  9. Do NOTHING without speaking to your pediatrician first.

  10. Infant glycerin suppositories.  Make sure they are the infant size.
