What can you infer about the nature of racial prejudice?

Racial prejudice is used to keep minority groups down in order to give economic advantages to the dominant group of said society. However reverse discrimination is also a problem that is not stigmatized and infact is considered acceptable on television.  Both forms are equally wrong and destructive.

a) People prefer to hang out with others who look like themselves.

b) People like to separate into "us vs. them" and will use skin color as a separation criterion.
