  1. My little sister just got braces on about a month ago. She cant eat aything sticky like bubble gum, caramel and toffees. She cant eat anything with sugar, suck as soft drinks or sodas as it can rust the braces.  She cant eat popcorn or oranges as the little peaces will get stuck in the braces.

You can eat hard fruit like apples, but you need to cut them up instead of biting straight into it, as it can move the braces.

My sister had a bit of trouble giving up all her treats, but the time will go fast and you should have them off in no time!

I hope this has helped! Good luck!

  2. Hard Candy

    Gum

    Sticky things

    Chips

You really just need to stick with soft food

                                                Good Luck

  3. You can't eat almost any candy, nothing sticky, no popcorn, not alot of good yummy candy:(

btw i don't have braces but my friend does

  4. Popcorn and hard candy seem to be the toughest.

    I love popcorn though!!!!

I guess if you floss and brush really well you shouldn't have any problems!

I'm pretty stoked about the new Platypus Ortho Flosser I just saw on youtube.

She flosses her teeth in 1 minute!  It looks really easy.

  5. ice

    nachos

    gum

    sticky candy

  6. Gum, chips, ice, peanut butter, hard bread, hard candy, soda (it's supposed to dissolve the filling they use to hold the braces to your teeth), popcorn, taffy, other chewy foods, and I think that's it...

  7. Gum [[I kinda chewed gum anyways ... not a good idea, lol]]

    Hard Candy

    Popcorn

Dont chew Ice or it can break the back of your braces also [[yah that also happened to me]]

    Hope I helped![:

  8. Try to avoid anything that is very sticky and chewy (gum, taffy, tootsie rolls, etc) and anything that is very hard (hard edges of pizza crusts, chips, nuts). Popcorn should also be avoided, as the kernels get stuck in your teeth very easily.  Also, avoid biting into fruits. Instead, cut them into wedges or bite sized pieces.

When you first get them on, it will be very difficult to eat.  Stick to a diet consisting of mainly soft, easy-to-eat foods for a few days.  These include yogurt, soft cereals, ice cream, applesauce, pasta, and pudding.  After a few days, though, you should be able to eat more solid foods.

I know it sounds like a big pain, but trust me, it will all be worth it in the end when you can show off your gorgeous smile!

    Good luck

  9. anything sticky ,popcorn, any thing hard u also have to cut ur fruits like apples u can't bite like that while u have braces

  10. well if u ask ur dentist he or she will just say no sticky stuff like gum or really hard things.. i never really asked but my friends have told me bcuz they have gotten gum stuck in there mouth but only bcuz she had a retainer and well yeah u can basicly everything gum and alot more bcuz the gum doesnt even get stuck lol but the first 2 weeks that u braces ur teeth are goin to be sore so u wont be able to get that good just stuff like apple sauce and soups well i hope i helped out(:

  11. Yep definately no sticky foods including gum, lollies etc...........

Or hard foods like toffee or ....even apples should be cut up.

You will spend alot of time picking stuff out of your teeth anyway when you have braces so the more correct food the better...but really you can indulge if the need arises and it won't affect the outcome of your new teeth............................HOWEVER NOT WEARING YOUR MOUTHGUARD AFTERWARDS WILL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take that from someone who did not and kept lsoing mine...lol
