What can you say about Philippines' increase of jeepney fare?

The jeepney operators also need to earn for a living. Actually the fare in the Philippines is still low compared with other countries in Asia. I think it is just fair.

In metro, jeepneys may be phased out if the mass rail transport will be expanded.

I think it is just and fair. The only got half a peso increase when Diesel prices went up P3 a liter last night. As a commuter, I too can feel how hard it is for a driver to keep up with increases and still manage to pay their daily boundaries. Even if the subsidies are in place, it's still difficult for them to keep up with such exorbitant oil prices. I really think they deserve much more. Increasing Transport costs are unavoidable. I hope the Government has more projects not just giving out VAT-sourced subsidies which are temporary in nature
