What can you say about the chocolate hills in bohol?

the chocolate hills are beautiful and amazing. it is best to visit them in the summer when the vegetation dries out and the hills transform into their chocolately brown colour.

the journey to the chocolate hills is also full of spectacular scenery. i travelled there from tagbilaran following the inland route via the tarsier sanctuary near corella and then through to loboc. the more direct route along the coast road from tagbilaran through loboc is also very picturesque and takes you past the statue commemorating the blood compact.

zzz... they are not really chocolate. i tasted it and it tastes like mud! hmmm... beer... zzz...

They are probably not as exciting (since they are just plain mounds) if there aren't many of them. The view is amazing, a whole vast of even mounds, best viewed on summer when they are really brown, hence looking like chocolate mounds.

The climb is so steep, I swear my knees were shaking for about half an hour after we descended. I have not been physically climbing for over 4 years. The other fun of watching the chocolate hills is taking your photo while jumping high in the air. it will look like you are flying over the hills. =)) http://www.flickr.com/photos/10157834@N0...

Oh, it's so nice once you reached the top portion of the place to have a clear view of the entire surrounding.... with cool fresh air!
