Honestly I dont live in Japan but I have a frind that is from Japan so I kind of know about it.

hi,culture here is very preserved to the oldest link,from the samurai times to the 20th century...people here are very conscious about their manners,they are like elites in which there is always a type of manner for everything.they like to avoid people NOT in a negative sense but you may as well think of it like they dont want to be in anybodies way...community is very cooperative to each other most especially if you are known to be there for a long time..if you are a new comer you will be respected when you come over to some neighbors house and properly introduce yourself.they respect people in whom who may have high respects for themselves.goverment?well,i think their government here works better than in some bigger countries xcept america..to my point of view,..do itashimashite!

Most of the people are shy but some avoid you intentionally .

Overall most people stick to the rules as it is a very strict country

Serious and hard working of course , tend love anything cute ,

very analytically minded in some cases, also  mad about ceremony .

Communities here aren't that close knit, most people aviod their

neighbours although they have local festivals and such .

Family ties are very strong .
