What can you take and not take on a plane?

Question

Ok well my family and I are going to Washington D.C next week (we live in Fresno, CA & we're going via Phoenix, AZ) and we'd like to know what we can and cannot bring on the plane. Thank you!

yes you can bring a ds and an cd player or ipods .you can't bring liquids over 3 ounces.if you bring liquids tape the cap on so it won't leak/spill.ps put liquids in  a CLEAR PLASTIC BAGGIE!!!!

No liquids over 3 oz in your carry on (so big bottles of shampoo and sticks of deodorant are out), also no sharp objects (razors, fingernail clippers, knives, etc..)...um, no guns lol (no brainer there) and all of your 3 oz. liquids have to be in a certain bag...maybe 1 qt?  I'm not 100% sure, go to www.faa.com and check it out =D

And yes, you can take a portable DVD player, I've done it before

lol here is a kind of dumb one.

Don't take a lighter, but you can substitute for matches :P

Don't take anything sharp or that can be a potential weapon, not even children's scissors.

I also recommend you get to the airport an hour early at least, just in case security is tight.
