  2. To prevent heartburn drink apple cider vinegar (about 1 tsp) in a glass of water while having a meal.

    To cure, try eating plain bread (no butter).  You may have to repeat for symptoms to subside.

    I've never tried it, but apparently, you can also drink a glass of water with baking soda to neutralise the acid.

    I'm telling you I've had acid reflux in 2000 and NEVER took one drug for it! Remember Alfalfa is only a vegetable,but never use the pills as only the caps work quickly and alfalfa sprouts at the store can carry salmonella.
