What can you tell me about a Volvo s80?

I'm buying a used car and I really like this car.

a 2000 Volvo s80 sedan, it has 113,000miles on it. 6cyl, 2.9L, Automatic, AC, Leather, Power windows and doors. It's in good condition.

Asking for $4400.00US

A friend told me that the engines on these cars are not good. What's your advice?

the price is really low for a volvos80 with 113,000 miles. the price should be around 5300-6700

so why are they selling it for 4400? is theyre something wrong with it? just make sure its not a salvage title meaning its been in an accident

as far as the car its a good car i mean your gas mileage is gonna suck because its a v6 other then that its a big strong solid car. it should last you another 30 to 40 thousand miles or so as long as u take care of it.. i personally would get something much smaller like a civic or corolla + way better gas mileage and more reliable then a volvo s80

Volvo S80 is taller than the outgoing model. though the seats are nicely upholstered and comfortable.
