What can you tell me about a career as an activities director or as a director in any business?

Is the workload as large for assistant directors and assistant activities directors as the director or AD?

How much can I get paid as an AAD, activities director, D, or assistant director?

What should one expect from each of the 4 jobs?

How much vacation time can one expect?

All in all I like to work with my hands and to think of ideas to improve upon all things. I want to make good money and enjoy the job I do. I'm considering assistant activities directors for resort hotels, cruise ships, and sports clubs. Or I'd enjoy owning and operating a small bar and games club like Dave and Busters. Any thoughts on what a good business plan should have in it for these businesses?

  1. You would have to learn to be thick skinned as a lot of flack will certainly come your way. Boss or director means, the one who gets the blame when anything goes wrong. Are you Strong enough to be the human sacrifice, the unwanted element, the one who nobody really wants to be with unless they're on the chocolate *** program? It's nice being the one that everyone criticises behind their back. The director is often the most misdirected one in the place. All that said and dusted. Do what you want cause you will anyway. Responsibility is a heavy burden. Heavy on the old false ego. Take care. Gouranga
