  1. It doesn't exist at this time.  Some would like to combine  the USA, Canada and Mexico into the North American Union, similiar to the European Union.  The Amero is the proposed currency for the North American Union

  2. It doesn't exist YET. But, if those pushing for a North American Union such as the Council on Foreign Relations have their way, it will be our next currency.  Benn Steil,  in an article he wrote in an issue of CFR's Foreign Affairs magazine said, "the world needs to abandon unwanted currencies and replace them with multinational currencies as yet unborn." http://www.cfr.org/bios/1637/

In "The End of A National Currency" he writes that the dollar is "a temporary currency" and that it is only "perhaps necessary today."  He also argues claims that "economic development outside the process of globalization is no longer possible."

Robert Pastor, director of the Center for North American Studies at American University, supported Herbert G.Grubel's arguments for the amero. Herbert G. Grubel is the Canadian economist who first proposed the amero as a North American unitary currency. In his 2001 book entitled Toward a North American Community, Pastor supported Grubel's suggestion that the creation of the amero would be accompanied by the creation of a Central Bank of North America, similar to the European Central Bank.

This is why so many in our government are doing everything they can to destroy the dollar and our economy.

  3. The Amero is only an idea at this point and time. and I honestly hope it stays that way.

The Amero is theorized to be the common currency if the Canada, the U.S and Mexico all combined their money in a way similar to what the European Union has done.

However, between those three countries and this is purely my opinion here. The Dollar weakining as it is right now at the time of this post, is still the dominant currency when compared to the Canadian and Mexican currency.

As such, I think US economy wouldnt benefit any if at all, and the only ones who would really benefit would be Canada and Mexico.

  4. It's part of a plan that's been in the works for some time, and now it's all starting to fall into place. Unless we stop it, it WILL happen.

The Federal Reserve is currently devaluing our dollar at an alarming rate by an aggressive policy of inflation. The money supply has been more than doubled since 2001.

Watch this film for more details. It is entirely factual and very well made, and could be the most important documentary in American history:

and check out this compilation of quotes about the Fed by former presidents, congressmen, and economists.

  5. It's bogus. As is the idea of the North American Union. But, I understand in certain parts of town (after dark) you can buy a tin-foil hat for One Amero and get change back.

  6. It will happen eventually. First step is the Trans Atlantic Union and the I35 Super Corridor, Law of the Sea Treaty, etc. The Americas will be united like the Europeans. Ultimately it will lead to one world government and currency. Bush and 40 some congressman and senators have been quietly laying the ground work without a single vote taking place.

  7. Currency for the North American Union.

Its coming, unless people wake up VERY soon and stop it before its too late.

    2012 will be too late.

  8. It doesn't exist.

  9. Pipe dream
