What can you tell me about the Speedway?

I was watching Eurosport when I saw them. I got the part with the 4 laps and the points gathering. But that's pretty much it. I kind of find the funny, the way the slide or.. I don't really know how it's called. So I'll be happy to hear some information for the whole sport! :) And of course give me your personal opinion for it, why you like it or why you don't.

Speedway racing is fun to watch. It usually has only 4 rider for up to 6 laps.

The racing is close fast, and exciting.....

Speedway has decreased in popularity here in the USA, but is big in Europe.
