You''re going to get a lot of responses saying it's the end of our democracy,,, It's not.

The general drift of it is that it allows law enforcement to put wire taps on the phones of people who suspected of being terrorists.

Bob Kennedy when he was his brother's Attorney General got a law passed that allowed wire taps on suspected racketeers. It's still on the books. Still going on. If you are suspected of being part of a criminal enterprise that crosses state lines, you can have your phone tapped.

So if I am suspected of being part of a gang  that steals hub caps and takes them across a river to sell them I can have my phone tapped,, and this is good thing.

But if I am suspected of plotting the murder of hundreds perhaps thousands of innocent people I shouldn't have my phone tapped because that would violate my civil liberties.

Unless you are a terrorist or helping a terrorist the patriot act is not threat to you or your family. I have never met anyone that has had their rights infringed upon or has suffered because of the patriot act. We are at war and this is another tool we need to fight it.

                   I can tell you it was printed up and voted on too quick to have been thought up "after" 9-11.

                   I can also tell you it was one of the first clues, I found that convinced me that 9-11 was a total "inside job"!

                   I can also tell you, it totally sickened me as I realized that fact after I tried so hard to believe our country was attacked by "Terroists". But instead, found out we were being taken over from the inside of our government, in a war for our freedom, and a war for our Democracy,in which our "traitor in chief" sold us out, to the Corporations in a Quasi-Facist-Dictator like action, caring for no one, and working for no one but his "Special Interest Buddies"! We lost. It's over. Nothing but the mopping up, which will be done in another 9-11, one month before the November Elections, to confuse us all enough to bring in Big Daddy McCain, and the march into Iran! Hide and Watch! You heard it here first! We will be in Iran because that's the way the Illuminati, want it!

It is the beginning of a new style of Fascist government that requires mindless supine adherence to its strictures.  In the new Dystopia warnings will constantly be issued and people will learn to love living in fear.  Constantly high on the adrenaline of neurosis and obsessive behaviour life expectancies will drop back to manageable proportions and the poverty that develops during the second great economic depression will hopefully be controllable.
