What can you tell me about this intersection in the Bronx?

241 street and white plains road...whats the area like? what is there to do out there? is it safe?

It's right on the border of the Bronx and Yonkers (westchester county).  It's (in my opinion) a middle class area mixed with a number of Caribbean folks (Jamaicans, Trinis, etc.) and Latinos.  It's probably a safer area than other parts of the Bronx and is near bus and train lines and the Metro North.  It's not a bad place to work or live.  You're close to Van Cortlandt Park, Gunhill Road, multiple hospitals, Woodlawn Cemetary (historic cemetary with Miles Davis, Celia Cruz, etc.), the Bronx Zoo, tons of restaurants and shopping.
