  1. rubbing alochol.

  2. Hot wax right over the existing wax. The new wax will blend in and rewax the whole board. The only reason to strip your board is if you are competing on a race circuit. Otherwise you are just depleting  the bases of the needed wax. If you are competing in a circuit of pros or semi-pros you should have access to the stripper from a rep. Even then I would advise against the stripper, instead iron through some paper towels, and then discard the towels.  I prefer to use canning paraffin for my base wax, cheaper and easier to obtain, for recreational use or teaching it is fine. If you are competing at top levels follow your coaches advice. Paraffin may not be the best for a race board at the top professional level, but is that where you are?

  3. Hot wax your board then scrape it while its still wet to get the muck out of the pores in the base. Base cleaners are a bit of a hoax, they actually dry out the base and you'll need to wax twice as much. Hope this helps!
