  1. We use it for the inside and outside plants all the time. In this area though we cannot keep it for more than two or three days because of the mosquitoes population. They reproduce like crazy in sitting water.

  2. It is the best for watering your plants and flowers.

  3. I wouldn't drink it!  You never know what kind of pollutants are in the atmosphere in your area.

As for watering plants... that would be a great idea.  Collect enough and it could help save on your water bill.

  4. I prefer to use it to water plants, especially acid loving plants like gardenia.  Our tap water is alkaline and can hurt acid loving plants over time.

  5. You can use the water to water the plants or wash the toilet bowls.Definitely not for drinking though, i mean you wouldn't want anything to happen.Or wash like the cover of your fan or see what you need to wash, not your clothes or cups though.

  6. Almost anything but drinking or cooking.

  7. in the afternoon it poured cats and dogs? My maid collected o much she collected  to pour on all the plants and grown up trees?

    water is a scarcity?

  8. Lucky you, I hope you're not in southern Texas, with the storm coming in!

Rain water is preferred by many plants, as it doesn't have the chemicals, such as Chlorine, that tap water contains.  It's loved by Orchids, if you have any,  otherwise all of your garden plants, including your lawn, will benefit from being watered with it.

Otherwise,  garden ponds can be topped up with it,  and they typically lose tons of water in summer, due to evaporation.  You can mix it with dishwashing detergent, sprayed onto plants for insect control, such as aphids, watch out for bees, ladybugs/birds, as it will harm them.

You could use it for clothes washing, floor, window or house cleaning, or outdoors cleaning of grimy surfaces etc.  If you have a water butt, you could store it too, for drier periods.

It could be used for drinking, but would need to be purified, and is likely to be taken up easily around your garden for watering, with a little used for cleaning.

Hope this helps.  Good luck!  Rob

  9. It is the best water I have found to water plants with. It is much better than tap water.

  10. You can use it for anything.  Even drinking if you put iodine or purification tablets in it.  This though will not remove any pollution that the rain water has gathered from the atmosphere.  But I would not worry unless you live in a dirty polluted area like southern california.  Of course I would not drink it unless it was a last resort, obviously!

  11. Certainly water plants, many local authorities sell water butts cheaply to save rain water for this.

Use it to clean the windows, wash the car, scrub down window screens, clean used flower pots, wash out the wheelie bin, chuck it down the loo.

Anything but drink it-in the days before acid rain,Grannie kept an old barrel under the down spout and used the rain water to wash her hair.
