What can you wear in dubai??

Question

what clothes can you wear in dubai because i know the dress code is strict but what about for tourist, can u wear shorts? vests? dresess? etc ...

you can dress up as you want but i think wear full dress is good here or jeans tops ,skirts are good

You can wear almost anything in Dubai but women are requested not to wear low-cut tops which also show their shoulders or short shorts in town.

Dubai is not as strict as many Arab countries.

You can wear anything you want, but make sure it's not revealing type. I mean, females should avoid wearing clothes that expose too much of b***s. It's ok if it's near the beach area. Swimming costumes like bikinis are allowed, but no G-Strings. Males should dress appropriately too. Transitives are not tolerated at all.

any thing just as long as its not to thick cause its VERY hot there.and just a handy tip don't take a fan cause they spin around the hot air.have a good holiday. :)

i answered the same Q before and it has been choose as a Best Answer:

you can find tourists wearing all kind of clothes but it really bothers us .. as they dont respect our religoun and traditions

you can wear anything as long as it's not instulting and disrespectful such as:

1- mini shorts, skirts & tops .

2- any clothes that has insulting graphic or phrases

3- see-through clothes

if you're coming any time soon , bring caps and sunglasses with you as it's going to be really sunny & hot ..

Its only appropriate to wear something that covers your shoulders and legs , pants and meduim to lengthed skirts are a very good option.

I have been to Dubai on several occasions and my husbands step father is an arab and works in Sharjah (Just outside Dubai) .  You can wear what ever you want, but it would be frowned upon if it was too revealing.  I normally wear knee length shorts or skirts etc and t.shirts.  I often wear strappy t. shirts and have never noticed anyone being dissapproving and I am sure, my father-in-law would tell me if it was disrespectfull.   In the hotels, holiday makers wear anything - especcially the Germans and their thongs !  Dont wear thongs etc on beaches.  It is very europeanised compared with several years ago, when I first visited.
