  1. In bookkeeping, "capital" is your liquid assets.

    Like money, stocks, and bonds.  

    Sometimes real estate could be figured into capital.  It is normally anything that you can count as having net worth in your total portfolio.

    You do have a text book with a glossary at the end, right?
