What car am I looking for?

Question

I'm looking for my first car but I really don't know where to start. I want a two-door, standard transmission, affordable ( max. about $6,000) car. I want it to be at least decent looking and the year doesn't really matter right now cause I just want options.. Oh and I'm a girl so it doesn't really matter if it's a chic car. Any suggestions as to what kind I should look at?

In my humble opinion, look at japanese cars. I've had great luck over the last 15 years or so with them.

anythin on toyota & honda wil b gud on mileage.... other than that u can also go for Mini, Volkagen as u want some cheeky model...
