All I would like is a car that looks cool and sporty but is not that expensive (no more that $1600 used!) and that gets could gas mileage (can't spell it right!) at least 20 mpg. Also car insurance can't be too expensive either!

By the way I don't want foreign because being that I live in Michigan I know how the foreign company's screwed Michigans economy. So thanks for helping!

  1. There are no newer American cars.

Nowadays "American" cars have Japanese engines.

If u don't believe me just look under the hood of a small Ford it will have a Mazda engine. Chevy - Isuzu engine. Dodge - Mitsubishi engine.

But it's funny because a Honda is now considered to be "American" because it uses 75% American parts and is built in Marysville,OH.

Just go get a small car and don't worry about who made it.

  2. wow buddy thats tough!! All I can suggest is go to yahoo autos or msn auto trader! Msn auto trader is really good because you can pick all the details and chose what style you want (sedan, suc, coupe, ect). But either way its going to be slim pickins and your not gonna get good miles for that price! But if its your first car no biggy! Good luck!

  3. A nice used Escort. With oil changes they can go for 180k and up.

  4. I can help you out about the American part by one that was made in the 70's or earlier but as fair as for the good  gas MPG cant help you their.if you find, that one out let the rest of us know, will you please?

  5. An used Ford Escort is a good pick, I used to have one and and it had great Gas Mileage while lasting 200,000 + miles!

Also a Chevy Cavalier or Dodge Neon could be other alternatives for cool, sporty, and good gas mileage(but not the greatest of cars).

    Good Luck!
