What car do you recommend?

Im looking to buy a used car as my first, i found some neat ones on craigslist but i just need some feedback on the overall car in your opinion.

1) 2003 MITSUBISHI GALANT

2) 2006 mazda6

or

3) 2000 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA

They are all under $4,000

normally, i woud suggest the Mazda 6, but you also have to look at how many total miles are on the odometer. The miles shouldnt be too high on a 2006 model because its only 2 years old.

I do find it kind of hard to believe that the 2006 Mazda 6 costs less than 4,000. There might be something going on like it has a lot of miles and/or it is a salvaged vehicle (a car that has been declared a total loss by the insurnance due to a really nasty accident or a flood and it was "rescued") I would definitely recommend asking the seller whats the title of the car (if its clean, salvaged etc...) and checking out how many miles it already because I think its the best car out of that list. If the miles isnt too bad and the title is clean, then its a really good bargin. Ask more questions about the car.

My first car was a 2003 mazda 6, and I loved it! It was great. But how many miles does it have on it? If it has more than 50K, watch out, because a 2006 model should only have 30-35K, give or take some mileage. I bought mine used with a little over 20K miles, and it was 17 thousand...So if there is nothing wrong with the engine, get that one.

My boyfriends sister drives a 99 jetta, and I love that car too. Both of the cars are great on gas, i went for weeks in my mazda going to school and back. Honestly, just check both of them out because 4,000 dollars for a 3 year old car sounds kind of fishy. good luck! and I hope I helped!
