  1. As far as reliability and resale go they are equal. The Civic is a better handler and looks better IMO. If you're looking at entry level cars I'd also recommend the Mazda 3.

  2. two weeks ago it was reported that the Toyota Yaris was dollar for dollar the cheapest car to buy, run and maintain. Having said that if I was going to buy one I would buy the Toyota Prius. If you were one of my kids I would suggest that you wait until the 2009s are out as they are really suppose to improve a lot over the 2008. The Prius is supposed to get over 80 miles to the gallon. Honda is supposed to come out with a car in 2010 that they are already showing on TV. My problem with the car is only that they are showing it now and they are not ready to bring it to market ergo 2010 ad not 2009,.....and then again maybe it will never come to market I would go with a 2009 Prius

  3. Both cars are good but honda's car resale value is really good in comparison of other company's car. Here I suggest you one reliable source for car. which give you full information on different different car models.

  4. Best mileage--Toyota Prius.  Second Best mileage but more satisfying car--Honda Civic Hybrid.  The Prius has better resale value than the Civic Hybrid.  Both cars have excellent reliability.  If you don't want a hybrid, a Mini Cooper gets 30-40 mpg and has excellent resale value.  If you need to spend less money, a Toyota Yaris gets 30-40 mpg.

  5. The Honda Fit offers the lowest 5 year true cost to own figures of any vehicle sold in the USA.

This takes into account a 5 year cost of the price, depreciation, gas, insurance, and maintenance.

  6. From my experience they are about equal.  toyota and honda's are pretty much the same as far as being one the the best producers for just great cars, in general.  I have owned both a honda and a toyota.  Everyone seems to have their own preference, I would take one of each on a test drive and get a feel for both and decide which one you like the best and which one suits your lifestyle better.
