I have a 2006 chevy cobalt that I'm currently making payments on, so I have to have full coverage. I have had one speeding ticken in the past 3 years. I currently use Allstate and I pay $134.00/month. This seems rediculous to me.

  1. Try to have as much information as you could perhaps is one of the options, however it is labor consuming, here is the place i have ever had good experience with.http://insurance.online-frees.info/insur...

  2. its a little high due to your ticket.  once that comes off if you stay clean it will go down.  call a local independent agent and see what they can do.  they write for a lot of companies so they can do the comparing for you.  allstate tends to be bad for people with any type of violations.

  3. $134/mo for full coverage?  Depending on where you're at and you age that's not too bad.  Now if you're over 30 and live in rural BFE them maybe you should check around, do one of the comparsion quoters on the web.

  4. Your rate will depend on a lot of things.  If Allstate knows about the speeding ticket, then their rate is probably high. Progressive has competitive rates for people with not-so-spotless driving records. Just call around locally and get quotes - be sure to let them know about the speeding ticket so they can give you the correct rates. Don't just call the big names, also call the independent agents as they can normally quote you with 2 or 3 different companies. Also, check your collision deductible - raise it if you can afford to.

  5. You will probably be able to find cheaper insurance out there.  The easiest way to find the cheapest insurance is to simply get an online insurance quote.  This will compare all companies in your area and find the companies that offer you the lowest prices.

  6. It seems high but Allstate is very competitive.  Have you tried getting a quote from State Farm or from American Family Insurance of Madison, WI.  They are also excellent and competitive.  ........................."Ridiculous"

  7. Lots of car insurance companies online to choose from

  8. That price sounds about right, especially if you are young. You just have to "tough it out" until you get over 21 and married and no tickets shown, then you will see the rates drop dramatically. You could also look into other insurance companies. Also, with a new car, don't forget about gap coverage, ask an insurance agent about it.

  9. Without knowing your age, where you are located, your driving record, what your insurance score is, if you'e married or single, it's hard to say if $134 is 'ridiculous.'  What I can say is you get what you pay for.
