Do you think that a Honda Accord Coupe V6 6-speed manual or

a Volkswagen Passat 2.0 Turbo 6-speed manual is a hotter car?

I'll be buying one of them, your advice isn't going to make up my mind, but i'm curious as to what people have to say..

  1. I'd say that the Accord is probably hotter because of a few reasons.

-First of all the sleek design makes the car more appealing and gives it that futuristic concept taste.

-Also Honda is known for its quality of cars and I indeed was impressed with this new car because I think Honda is one of the only manufacturers that makes very appealing cars and yet excellent quality.

-I honestly think Volkswagon uses the traditional German design fundementals that are also found in Audi and as well as BMW. Accord is more open to customization and it gives me that sleek impression of a concept car.

    - I hope I helped!

  2. Honda Accord Coupe is defitily a hotter car.

  3. Definitely the Honda Accord Coupe, I mean that thing looks like my 2009 Lancer GTS.

  4. After 32 years on the market, the all-new Accord is larger than ever—classified as a Large Car by the EPA in sedan form—and offers more interior space, more horsepower, and more standard features than ever before. The price range for the 2008 model is from about $20,000 to $30,000 and it averages nearly 25 mpg, according to actual owner reports. As far as initial quality and appeal, this coupe ranks above average, according to our research studies. The EX-L Coupe drops the 4-way power front passenger’s seat found on the similarly trimmed Sedan model, but gains 18-inch alloy wheels. The EX-L V-6 Coupe adds the V-6 powerplant. For sportier driving, a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission is available for the EX-L Coupe, and on this model the V-6 engine is tuned to deliver more torque at low- and mid-range speeds for livelier response, Honda says. The redesigned 2008 model is rated a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The Accord is also one of the most fuel-efficient vehicles in its class according to the EPA, regardless of engine choice, and has one of the few V-6 engines on the market rated to achieve Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV) status.

The Volkswagen Passat was the top-ranked model in its class in our firm’s 2008 APEAL Study, which measures customer satisfaction with performance and design attributes. It is also among the most fuel-efficient models in its class, and was the most improved model of all cars surveyed in year-over-year initial quality according to our 2008 Initial Quality Study. The 2008 Passat has a higher price range--from $24,000 to $38,000.Although, the model we test drove was just under $25,000 and also average 25 mpg, according to actual owner reports. On our recent studies, the Passage earns 5 Power Circles for initial quality, which means it ranks among the best and it is nearly among the best in terms of what delights owners about their new vehicles. The Turbo also can be equipped with a traditional 6-speed manual gearbox. In our firm's reviews, the car impressed many of our associates. One of our associates described it as "Euro Goodness for Less." The car surprised and delighted.   For more information about both of these models, reviews, driving blogs, photos, videos and quality ratings, please visit JDPower.com.

  5. Nothing sexier than a fine German automobile.  Honda Accords are a dime a dozen.  Mind you Passats are too - just not quite to the extent the Accords are.  I would go for the VW in white.

  6. Honda

cost less to own and repair

    more dealerships available

  7. The Passat is overpriced and it's very expensive to own.

The Accord is definitely more appealing. I really like the shape of the coupe.

  8. honda all the way!

itd be a tougher choice if it were a vw gti instead...those are nice cars.

either way, id say go for the accord you surely won't regret it :)

  9. honda accord coupe is all around a better car

    it looks better

    its faster

it has a better transmission and gearbox(not saying the passat has a bad tranny but honda is known for its slick shifting, easily used gearbox and tranny)

the honda is also a lot more reliable

  10. That depends on if you are buying the car just for yourself or do you intend to haul a few people from time to time. I think as a single dude, the coupe Accord would be my choice. Buying a coupe to me says whoever is driving it is single & likes to have fun. The Passat is a great car, but VW has slipped in the reliability area. A turbocharged engine requires premium fuel anyway & I hate giving up more money for fuel than necessary.
