  1. if you want a car that's simular to an audi get a VW.  Audis are just high end VWs.

If your looking for reliability I would go with a Lexus or an Acura, both Japanese makes, smooth cars, and if kept nice will run for a long time.  Japanese cars are the best built cars on the road.

If your just looking for a luxurious car then stay in Germany and look at Mercedes and BMW, both expensive to keep up but nice cars.

If safety is your thing than I recomend a Volvo or a Saab.  Saabs are nice cars that get great miliage (we currently have a saab 9-5 and get about 30 mpg highway)

  2. Volvo

  3. Wow nobody has mentioned Infiniti yet. Very surprising to me.

"This engine family is widely considered to be the world's benchmark V6 engine for its combination of smoothness, reliability and high power output. The VQ series is the only engine to be honored by Ward's 10 Best Engines list every year since the list's inception."

That is a strong selling point to me.

  4. The answer to this question is an AUDI. If you want an Audi MB, BMW,Lexus, Acura, or what ever car you want then buy that car. Audi make the most amazing cars and if you take care of your car with its maintenance then you will never have any issues. I have had Audi's for ever and i have never had anything major go wrong with my cars. Sure an Audi may cost more to repair but you are buying a luxury car. If you can spend the money to buy a high end car then be prepared to pay luxury maintenance and repair bills also.

  5. A hard question. I would rely on unbiased data such as the JD Power Consumer Satisfaction Index surveys made each year for the leading national car markets. They consider all aspects, including reliability.

Personal opinions based on own experience and preference, though provided in good faith, are statistically insignificant and may prove missleading.

  6. BMW 325 is the best.

  7. Audi are good, but Mercedes are hewn from one lump of stone, and last longer than a cathedral does!

  8. VW PASSAT

  9. definitely something japanese.

The big three j*p. premium brands, Lexus, Infiniti and Acura.

I just came off a 3 year 2005.5 audi a4 lease, the car was great and performance for its 2.0 liter turbo was pretty d**n good, but reliability was disgusting to be fair.

I had a family member get a lexus is250 recently and the car handles and feels very close to that. Others might say infiniti G35 or G37.

  10. New or Used? With "new fuels" on the horizon. My personal choice would first be used. Second (I discovered this quite by accident but love it!) buy a pre-1980 Mercedes 280 too 450 "SL" model. Gas engine, always adult owned , rear wheel driving/independent suspension. You'll find their cheaper than you think. and what a great car! Got family or something not so flashy?  My 1978 280E, 4 door, Leather, air, power moon roof etc. . .all for $1500. And what a Smooooooth ride!

  11. BMW!!!  5 series or 3 series. i have 1 myself! trust me, cant go wrong with the world best!

  12. tOYOTA CELICA

  13. Go with an Acura or Lexus, German cars tend to be at the bottom of the heap in reliability.  I used to be a Benz tech and, know that last year Benz was dead last in reliability.  BMX and Audi were very close. Toyota, Honda, Acura were at the top. Now I'm a Cadillac tech and it's a little better (reliability).  Truth be told, Benz's are awesome to drive if I had the money to keep it on the road.

  14. a Lexus is the same if not better, its just a high end Toyota is basically all it is,but a well built one,it doesn't compromise on luxury or performance,it has both, and will last as long if not longer than an Audi will, good luck.

  15. Best car for reliability is "Saab" they are designed by a company with engineers that know what they are doing and the cars last what seems like forever with very little maintenance. The Saab with turbo charged engines are quick when it counts. And the sound system and interiors are nicely done. Go to your local Saab dealer and try one out and see what you think for yourself? 16. Cadillac
