  1. Chargers and Impalas have a nice amount of leg room. The gas mileage depends on engine options but range from 18 - 22 mpg. Most Nissans also have a good amount of leg room, and get good gas mileage.

In order to find out for sure, you should just go to a dealership and see if they will let you just sit in different cars. It will give you a feel for what you need and what is comfortable.

  2. off the top of my head i think a Chevy Malibu or a toyota Camry. Both are give great gas mileage. Although the 09 Camry is cheaper. Base price for a camry is 19,000 when the Malibu starts at 20,000 but comes with a years free of Onstar. They also have a hybrid version of the Camry. Let me know what you decide to purchase.

  3. 6' 4'' = Scion tC

  4. Seriously, check out the Mini Cooper.  You will be very surprised.

Oh, and the new VW Jetta TDI starts at $28K.  In addition, you have to use expensive diesel gas.  Unless you have a way to make your own biodiesel, forget it.

  5. Check out the new VW TDI.  The new sedan costs around $22 - $24,000.  Gets WAY better mileage than most if not all Hybrids.  My friend is 6' 6" and just test drove one and said it has plenty of leg and head room.  I've also driven one (6' 2 1/2") and there's plenty of room for me too.

  7. Toyota Echo

The ECHO is Toyota’s entry-level car that is one of the highest fuel-mileage passenger cars sold in the U.S. market. The ECHO was introduced for the 2000 model year and features a "higher roof" and higher seating positions than what was traditionally found in the entry-level segment.

    2005 to 2000 run $10,350 to $6,650
