  1. heck no You want at least a 4x50w, never heard of a 2x20w but thats not good for your speakers

EDIT: OK 4x20w still isnt good, Thats just a total of 80w. and you speakers are 250w. get a 50wx4 or higher.

  2. no it wouldnt. you want something that has 4x50 to 4x75. if you get a 2x20 if they even make those you would only be powering two speakers. now to think fo it i wonder how the wiring would look. but yea go with something that has more watts. if not buy a 4 channel amp and connect them to your speakers.

  3. go for a cheep amp...best bet me thinks

  4. OK So you need to see what the RMS of those speakers are. If they are truely 250watts rms then I need to get some of those thats like the power of a sub iin a speakers size with greater frequency d**n those must be loud. OK so nuff of the BS. Seriously what you are looking at that is telling you that they are 250watts is the max power they can handle. You need to look at the rms of the speakers to find the wattage that they can handle continuously. Then once you do that you can decide what type of radio/amp you need. email me with the rms specs of the radio you have and the speakers. I'll be able to help you out.

PS If anyone ever tells you that a headunit puts out 50watts rms per channel (50x4) then smack the c**p out of them and if your at a store and this happens. then ask for the manager and demand that you get a really good deal on a radio b/c the salesman tired to rip u off. lol Good Luck DUECES!!!!

  5. Your best bet would be to get a cheap 2 or 4 channel amp.  possibly a Jensen or something.  Any amp will power the speakers better than the head unit, especially if they're 250w.

  6. If you get a aftermarket headunit with a buildin cea-compliant amplifer. If might say 50x4 or 45x4 ect... but  the rms of that headunit is probably half of that maybe 15-20 rmsx4. But I have never seen a 2x20 headunit.
