  1. To help you with your choice I would suggest looking at the MazdaSpeed3.  The speed3 is fast, reliable, fun to drive, and gets great gas mileage.  Not to mention that if something were to go wrong with it, it is cheaper to fix than a German car.  Trust me I previously owned an Audi A4 and once something starts to go wrong with it you will never see money in your wallet again until you get rid of it!

    Good Luck!

  2. Here's a Complete List of Coupes in your Budget. I am recommending Coups because they are fun to drive and have decent gas mileage as well.

Now as to my Pick out of that List would be in following order.

Pontiac G5 - Absolutely Fantastic car!

Chevy Cobalt SS - Great fun car to Drive. Rebates ongoing.

Hyundai Tiburon - Good Sports car with Hyundai Warranty.

Mitubishi Eclipse - Keep only for 5 years. Sell just before warranty off.

    In Sedan Class there are

    Mazda Speed 3

Mitsubishi Lancer - Absolutely Great Car

    Nissan Altima

    Pontiac Grad Prix

Dodge Charger - Upper limit approaching.

The only reason I'd go with the Sedans is because, they have bigger engine and handle great.

  3. the 2008 VW Rabbit/GTI is a great choice. Its fun to drive, safe, reliable, and attractive.

Other cars to look at would be:

    Mazda 3

    Nissan Sentra

    Pontiac Vibe

    VW Jetta

  4. Wow.. you don't want a Toyota or Honda, but would consider an American car? Since you obviously are not after reliability, I say Get a Golf GTI. Although the new GTI is lemon on wheels, its fun to drive, cute, and comfy.   You also might want to consider a used BMW. For 25k you could easily get into a 2004-2006 3 series.  A 328i is fun to drive, looks great, has a high quality interior, and gets good gas mileage.

  5. i would go for a mustang cuz it got 210HP n 240 torq with 26MPG on highway  i have the mustang v6 n sometimes i get 29MPG driving normally not speeding and it well worth of a money and it stauts in the well over in america and starts around 19000 and in these days they have a ford clerance going on where you will get $4000 cash back on mustang which is toatlly awesome or i would go for the eclipse they have 2 types of engine 2.4L 4cyl with 162HPor 3.8L 6cyl with 265HP with 4cyl you will get 28 MPG and 6cyl you will get 26MPG not a lot of difference and it starts around $20000 it can go way fast but the some people dont like the new look of it so it depends on you   and one more thing dosent matter what car you buy if you want to save fuel install a vortex cyclone search it on google i use it on my mustang and get 31MPG on highways at the speed of 65 so yeah it does work but you have to take it out after one gas of a tank so the computer will not get confused with air flowning in it take 2 min to install so go ahead try it

  6. If you want a good car, it is a Honda or a Toyota, ...yes- they used to be lemons, but that's history....that's the why...

  7. if you have that much money available, i would get a good used car, set some money on the side for repairs for the next two years

and then try to invest into your retirement funds, but need to be careful what you pick.... think, good car, no payments, no problems, and set yourself up for a future life
