What career can earn more than that of a pilot?

I had better academic qualifications than that of a friend but did not get selected into trainee pilot cadet. I was wondering which career can earn as much if not more than that of a pilot? Thks

There are available statistics on the highest paid jobs compiled by the tax authorities.  But this may not be meaningful.  Instead, I will advise you to go for a career in something you like best and enjoy most.

Many successful people you speak to will swear by "passion".  Take some time to reflect on what motivates you most.  Flexible work hours?  Mobility?  Traveling?  Leading role?  Risk taking?  Interaction with people?   For instance, if you are the outgoing sort who enjoy traveling, a regional position in an MNC would be rather interesting.  If you enjoy talking to people and would like flexible work hours, perhaps consider being an insurance or real estate agent.  Since you did well academically, a teaching career in a private school or university may be rewarding too.
