Question:

What career is more rewarding, a nurse anesthesist or an assistant anesthesiologist?

since they both do the same thing, basically, i wanted to know which one was less college consuming. in other words, which career takes less time to complete.

  1. An anesthesiologist (assistant or otherwise) is a MD--so their schooling & pay is always the longest & highest.  A nurse anesthetist is a 2-3 year program after ICU type experience AFTER a bachelors in nursing.  So neither is a "quick" course--both are an investment in time & money & dedication.


  2. College = more money. You sound young. Take the time now to get a good base education to support your career in the future. Alot of people that get two year degress regret it and end up going back to college anyways.
