Question:

What career opportunities can I get by studying graphic design / computer graphics?

I thought I already wrote that question, but it disappeared, I am sorry if it shows for everyone else.

How are comics are computer graphics related? How about Hallmark and pc graphics? What can I end up doing to get a good pay, and not travel a lot?

All answers are appreciated.

  1. First of all, graphic design and computer graphics are very differnet things. Graphic design means how you make 3D graphics, actions, etc, using programming skills and libraries such as Open GL. You can go to things like Pixar or game companies to work on that.

But I guess if you're talking about graphics design, to me it means making icons , choosing color scheme and softwares, that is also awesome. A lot of people I know are doing free-lancers, and get hired by web companies. The important thing you should do is build up a portfolio. You can do so by just doing freelance work on elance.com or 99designs.com
