I love music. It is my passion. I play violin and piano but I know I'm not good or experienced enough to become a pro and I regret I did not start out earlier in life. But I know that musicians don't make good money and its difficult to find a job. My mom who is a doctor really wants me to be one as well and I also want to be one. They make much better money than musicians and its easier to find a job. I feel like I WOULD want to be a musician even though I don't think I have what it takes. But I feel like I SHOULD be a doctor even though that's going to be hard too,

  1. You often hear it: do what you love! Music might be a high toll but if everyone was good at what they liked with no effort, what would be the use of school? On a personal note, I want to become fluent in Korean and perhaps Mandarin. That's daunting in itself. It's all about the time and effort you put in.

If you like music, but don't want to play an instrument consider these majors:

    Music

    Music Education

    Music History

    Music Management

    Music Therapy

Do what you you want to NOT what you should do. Though you aren't considering English. Juliet shouldn't have married Romeo, but she did. Even though she may not have had the best end (In your situation have a bunch of money; be a doctor), she was doing something she love which was to be with Romeo.

    Do what you love!

  2. As a parent I would probably prompt you to go for the medical degree but it should be your decision. Niether I or your parents can live your life for you and ultimately you are the person that has to live with your choices. It sounds like you are young and have time, why not pursue both? Who says you have to pick just one.
