In particular, I am interested in what the options are for specializations in image processing. Also, how much would you expect I make with such a degree my first year? www.payscale.com says that the median first-year salary is $57,788 in Chicago (where I live), but is that true?

  1. You can make good money with that degree but you'll need experience or else it'll be difficult for anyone to give you a chance. My university gave me this link, it'll show you all of the positions you can get and the salary you'll make in your particular area. Just type in your major in the "Occupation Search" on the top right.

    http://online.onetcenter.org/

Click on one of the occupations from the list it gives you and scroll all the way down the page to see the salary. If you want to be more accurate. Choose a state and click Ok.

  2. I hope that http://www.siftin.com/#Jobs might help you. Try playing with some combination of keywords

It's great for finding jobs at local as well as top online sources.

I like their "preview result" capability
