What careers can i get, if i study in CERTIFICATE IN DESIGN?

hi, i am going to study in college and my subject is "CERTIFICATE IN DESIGN" ......it is a 1 and a half year course . so with this subject what JOBS can i get?? but my ambition is to be an ARTIST ! so plz help. and my question help.plz

Graphics designers and even web designer have sprouted from such courses of study.  In an ever connected world, you might want to consider a Web designe course of study, and make the inter-web-world your canvas.  60-80K starting salary ain't bad either....

My fiance studied something similar and he is an illustrator, and is doing very well. I went a different route and studied film and photography, and I am now a photographer, but I know what someone who studied design could have been in with a chance of my job, so perhaps photogarphy? You could also be a graphic designer, or like you say an artist. There are probably tonnes more jobs I have never even heard of. Also, you might be able to get an arty job like graphic design on the side to support yourself as an artist until you make it big! Good luck!
